Plant or animal fibre? — Weavers · The Makers
Welcome to the Weavers' Hall of Thistle Mill. The Makers of Our World game on MyLeoNes for ages 7–17; invented stories, crafts learned safely.
Your task
Sort each fibre into Plant or Animal.
- Cotton, linen and hemp grow on plants. Wool and silk come from animals.
- Invented guild stories to learn from. Never try fire, hot metal, glass, blades or power tools on your own: crafts like these are learned with a trained adult.
- Every craft came from many people in many places. Nothing about you is collected.

- Making it well — You put the steps in a sensible order and used the right tools.
- Care for people & planet — You kept people safe and used materials wisely.
In real life
For thousands of years, people in many places have made cloth from plants such as flax and cotton and from animals such as sheep and silkworms.
Weavers
The guild stories are invented, to learn from. Fire, heat, blades and tools are only for trained adults: learn these crafts with a trained adult, never at home. Nothing about you is collected; progress stays on this device.
