Reading the care label — Weavers · The Makers
Nes got a wool jumper from weaver Marta in the invented town of Loomfield. Her friend wrote notes about the care label inside. Tap the notes that are wrong.
Your task
Tap the lines that are wrong or unsafe.
- Care labels use symbols: a washtub (washing, the number is the highest temperature in °C), a triangle (bleach), a square (drying), an iron (ironing, more dots means hotter) and a circle (professional cleaning). A cross means 'don't'.
- Invented guild stories to learn from. Never try fire, hot metal, glass, blades or power tools on your own: crafts like these are learned with a trained adult.
- Every craft came from many people in many places. Nothing about you is collected.
Score
- Craft knowledge — You understood how this craft works.
- Making it well — You put the steps in a sensible order and used the right tools.
- Care for people & planet — You kept people safe and used materials wisely.
In real life
These symbols are an international system (GINETEX, used across Europe). Wool often shrinks and felts if it is washed too hot or tumble dried.
Weavers
The guild stories are invented, to learn from. Fire, heat, blades and tools are only for trained adults: learn these crafts with a trained adult, never at home. Nothing about you is collected; progress stays on this device.
