Many kinds of metalworker — Smiths · The Makers
On Emberhollow's market day, people bring metal jobs to the Street of Metals. Help each customer find the right workshop.
Your task
Pick the right workshop each time.
- A blacksmith works iron. A farrier makes and fits horseshoes. A goldsmith shapes gold and silver into jewellery. A tinsmith cuts and bends thin sheet metal into cups, pipes and lanterns.
- Invented guild stories to learn from. Never try fire, hot metal, glass, blades or power tools on your own: crafts like these are learned with a trained adult.
- Every craft came from many people in many places. Nothing about you is collected.
Score
- Craft knowledge — You understood how this craft works.
- Making it well — You put the steps in a sensible order and used the right tools.
- Care for people & planet — You kept people safe and used materials wisely.
In real life
Farriers still work today: a horse's hooves grow like fingernails, so shoes are reset every few weeks.
Smiths
The guild stories are invented, to learn from. Fire, heat, blades and tools are only for trained adults: learn these crafts with a trained adult, never at home. Nothing about you is collected; progress stays on this device.
