The workshop safety sheet — Carpenters · The Makers
A new helper in the invented Alderbrook workshop wrote the safety sheet. Carpenter Bruna asks Leo to check it. Tap the lines that are wrong or unsafe.
Your task
Tap the lines that are wrong or unsafe.
- In a workshop, eyes, hands and lungs need protection. Cuts should go away from the body, work should be clamped, and sharp tools are safer than blunt ones because they need less force.
- Invented guild stories to learn from. Never try fire, hot metal, glass, blades or power tools on your own: crafts like these are learned with a trained adult.
- Every craft came from many people in many places. Nothing about you is collected.
Score
- Craft knowledge — You understood how this craft works.
- Making it well — You put the steps in a sensible order and used the right tools.
- Care for people & planet — You kept people safe and used materials wisely.
In real life
Fine wood dust can irritate the lungs, which is why workshops use dust masks and extraction. Many school workshops in Europe require safety glasses for all students.
Carpenters
The guild stories are invented, to learn from. Fire, heat, blades and tools are only for trained adults: learn these crafts with a trained adult, never at home. Nothing about you is collected; progress stays on this device.
