What's inside
Drum — boom with your hands
A drum has a tight skin on top. When you hit it, the skin shakes and you hear boom.
Bell — ding that keeps ringing
A bell is a little metal cup that sings. Inside it a small ball swings and taps the sides.
Whistle — wind through a hole
A whistle is made of moving air. The air rushes past a small edge and starts to sing.
Clapping — music with two hands
Clapping is the instrument you always carry. Two hands smack together and squash the air between them.
Animal Sounds — moo, woof and tweet
Animals talk with sounds instead of words. Each one has its very own voice.
Rain Sound — tap tap on the roof
Rain makes a sound only when it lands on something. Each drop is a tiny tap.
Piano — black and white keys
A piano is a big wooden box full of strings. When you press a key, a little hammer taps a string inside.
Guitar — strings you can pluck
A guitar has six strings across a big hole. You pull a string and let it go, and it sings.
Singing — the voice inside you
You carry a musical instrument inside your throat. It is made of two tiny flaps that wobble when air rushes past.
Quiet — the sound of nothing
Quiet is a sound too. It is the one that lets you hear everything else.
