What's inside
Spring — everything wakes up
Spring is when everything turns green again. The days get longer and softer.
Summer — long, hot, bare feet
Summer is the hot season with the longest days. It is still light after dinner.
Autumn — leaves that crunch
Autumn is when the leaves change colour and fall. The evenings get dark early.
Winter — short days, warm indoors
Winter is the cold season with the shortest days. It is dark when you come home.
Rain — the sound on the window
Rain is water falling from the sky. In much of Europe it can rain in any season.
Sunshine — warm on your face
Sunshine is the warm light on your face. It changes how the whole day feels.
Wind — you feel it, you can't see it
Wind is air that is moving. You cannot see it, but you feel it on your face.
Snow — cold, white, squeaky
Snow is cold and white and quiet. Some places get lots of it, and some places almost never see it.
Fog — the world goes soft
Fog makes everything far away disappear. The world gets small and soft and quiet.
Puddles — the best part of rain
A puddle is rain that stayed behind. It is a small mirror lying in the street.
