Scared is a quick, jumpy feeling. Your body is trying to keep you safe.
Shy — wanting to hide a bit
Shy is wanting to go quiet when there are lots of people. Your voice gets small and your cheeks get warm.
Excited — too bouncy to sit still
Excited is happy with the volume turned right up. Your body cannot quite keep still.
Calm — slow and soft
Calm is a slow, soft, easy feeling. Your body stops rushing about.
Jealous — wanting what someone else has
Jealous is what you feel when somebody has the thing you wanted. It is a tight, uncomfortable feeling.
Proud — a warm, tall feeling
Proud is a warm feeling that makes you stand up tall. It arrives after you try something hard.
Sorry — a small stone in your tummy
Sorry is the heavy feeling after you did something you wish you had not. It means you care.
