A year in the life of an apple tree — Season Fields · Fruits & Vegetables
Leo and Nes have chosen one apple tree in the village orchard to visit every season. Berry has mixed up their photo diary. Can you put the year back in order?
Your task
Put the apple tree's year in order, starting in winter.
- In places with cold winters, an apple tree drops its leaves and rests. Many apple varieties need a certain amount of winter cold before they flower well in spring. Flowers visited by bees and other insects can then grow into apples.
- Invented stories to learn from, not medical or diet advice. Every body and every family eats differently. For health or allergy questions, talk to a trusted adult or a health professional.
- Nothing about you or what you eat is collected.
Score
- Plant & food knowledge — You understood how this part of the plant world works.
- Caring for the planet — You chose what is kind to the garden and the planet.
- Safe & ask for help — You stayed safe and knew when to ask a trusted adult.
In real life
Apple growers prune their trees in winter while they are resting, and many keep beehives or wild flowers near the orchard to help pollination in spring.
Season Fields
Invented stories to learn from, not medical or dietary advice. Every body is different. Never eat wild plants, berries or mushrooms without a trusted adult. Allergies are a matter for adults and doctors: if you feel unwell after eating, tell an adult straight away. Nothing about you is collected; progress stays on this device.
