Your role
You're the triage nurse (in this game).
Your goal
Sort each person into immediate, soon or can wait.
What you know
- Real hospitals use colour scales such as the Manchester Triage System: red is immediate, blue can wait the longest.
Limits
- Breathing problems, heavy bleeding and chest pain always go first.
Success looks like
- Life first — The life-threatening cases were seen at once.
- Soon — Painful but stable cases got a near slot.
- Can wait — Minor problems didn't jump the queue.
Skills you used
- Prioritising — Doing the most important thing first.
- Responsibility — Knowing when to act and when to ask for help.
In real life
Triage nurses use protocols with flowcharts and vital signs to give each patient a priority colour in a few minutes, and they re-check people who are waiting.
