Bread for shoes — Trading Post · Demand & Supply

Bea bakes good bread but makes poor shoes. Cal makes fine shoes but burns his bread. Specialising and trading lets people get more than each could make alone.

Your task

Guide them to a trade that works for both.

• When each person does what they do best and they swap, both end up with more and better.
• Invented stories to learn from. Prices and shops in them are made up, and this is not financial advice. Ask a trusted adult before buying or selling anything for real.
• Never share personal or payment details online. Nothing about you is collected.

Score

• Understanding trade — You understood how this part of trade works.
• Wise choices — You weighed your options before choosing.
• Fair play — You treated buyers and sellers fairly.
