Steelpan — Instrument Galaxy

A tuned instrument hammered out of an oil drum — invented in Trinidad and Tobago in the twentieth century. Listen for the shimmer after each note. A steelpan note is not one frequency but a small cluster of them, and that is why a pan orchestra sounds like light on water.
