Cajón — Instrument Galaxy

A wooden box you sit on and play with your hands — invented in Peru, out of what was available. Listen for two sounds and only two: a deep centre and a sharp edge. Almost every cajón groove is those two, in a pattern — like a kick drum and a snare made out of one box.
